I was too young to be able to put on a record (being terrified of my dad's warnings about marking the record with my finger or scratching it with the needle) but I just used to look at the paintings in the booklet, and scared myself senseless. I'm not scared of much anymore, but I'm still scared of Jeff Wayne's Musical Version of The War Of The Worlds.

same limited edition double album and booklet in my collection and it rarely sees daylight.
This is the first time I have seen the musical. They have a cgi talking head of a young Richard Burton on the backdrop screen.

My uncle has seen the live show, and raves about it. My dad just isn't into the idea of seeing Richard Burton's head on a stick, though, and he's made my mum hate JWMVoTWOTW by continually putting it on in the car.
